Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and record incoming deliveries of raw materials and components.
• Store items in appropriate locations using handling equipment.
• Pick and issue materials to production teams based on job orders or schedules.
• Maintain accurate stock records using inventory management systems.
• Conduct regular stock checks and assist with cycle counting and audits.
• Operate forklifts, pallet trucks, and other warehouse equipment safely.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Liaise with procurement, production, and quality teams to resolve stock issues.
• Keep the stores area clean, organized, and secure in line with departmental rules.
• Adhere to Health, Safety and Environmental rules and regulations.

Essential requirements

• 2 years FLT experience (Ideally a Counter Balance licence).
• Computer literate.
• Be able to work under pressure.
• Good communication skills (face to face and phone).
• Attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Take pride in their work and ensure work is completed to a high standard.
• Full, clean UK driving license.

Desirable requirements

• Knowledge of an ERP System and other warehouse management software would be an advantage.
