A leading contract caterer is seeking a Full-time position in Bristol. The role involves managing stock, ensuring food safety, and assisting the kitchen team. Candidates should have previous experience in catering or a stockroom, good organisational skills, and a proactive attitude. This role does not allow remote work and is oriented towards providing high-quality catering services to schools and colleges.
Receive check and sign for deliveries in line with food safety and company procedures
Ensure all goods are stored safely appropriately and within proper temperature controls
Manage stock rotation using FIFO principles to minimise waste and ensure freshness
Keep accurate stock records and assist with stocktakes and inventory audits
Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of all storage areas including dry chilled and frozen stores
Communicate any shortages damages or issues with deliveries to the Head Chef or Catering Manager
Assist kitchen team with daily prep support and movement of goods as required
Comply with all food hygiene health and safety and COSHH regulations
Work collaboratively with the catering team to support smooth kitchen operations
Carry out manual handling tasks and use equipment such as trolleys and pallet jacks safely
