Job summary

One Stop Stores Ltd is seeking a proactive Shift Leader to support daily store operations and deliver outstanding customer service. You will coordinate colleagues, manage opening and closing tasks, and ensure safety and great shopping experiences for customers.

As the go-to person in the absence of the Store Manager, you will balance service and replenishment, optimise stock availability, and uphold One Stop's values. You will be a strong communicator and lead by example across the team.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the team to deliver the easiest shopping trip in the community.
• Open/close the store and complete duty cover, ensuring decisions are right for customers and safety.
• Be the go-to person for colleagues in the absence of the Store Manager for day-to-day operational queries.
• Support the Store Manager to coordinate seasonal, community and charity events, creating an inclusive atmosphere.
• Maintain store cleanliness and presentation.
• Prioritise replenishment of products that matter to customers.
• Ensure POS and shelf edge labels reflect what good looks like.
• Take action for any overcharges and prevent recurrence.
• Manage queues to deliver a great shopping trip for customers.
• Coordinate colleagues to meet daily priorities and breaks.
• Understand store needs and drive improvements.
• Follow health and safety routines and ensure compliance.
• Communicate effectively to the team.
• Identify and implement process improvements.
• Always prioritise the customer and adapt service.
