Job summary

One Stop Stores Ltd is seeking a Shift Leader to oversee daily store operations and lead a team to deliver excellent customer service. You will role-model strong service, ensure safety, and keep the store well-presented while coordinating shifts and priorities.

You will be the go-to person in the absence of the Store Manager, supporting seasonal and community events and actively seeking ways to improve efficiency and the customer experience.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a team in a retail environment.
• Strong communication skills with colleagues and customers.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and manage store operations.
• Reliable in opening/closing duties and handling safety procedures.
• Proven problem-solving skills to resolve customer queries quickly.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the team to deliver a smooth shopping trip.
• Open/close the store and plan duty cover to protect customers and colleagues.
• Serve as the go-to person for operational queries in the Store Manager's absence.
• Support events and community activities to create an inclusive atmosphere.
• Ensure store cleanliness, presentation, and correct shelf labels are maintained.
• Prioritise replenishment of key products and manage queueing and service levels.
• Act as a keyholder for alarm calls and store safety procedures.
• Communicate with the team to keep everyone informed and planned.
