Job summary

Sainsbury's in Windermere is seeking a Customer & Trading Manager to lead a small management team and ensure smooth daily operation. You’ll drive service excellence, KPI performance, and safe, efficient store activities while stepping in for senior managers when needed.

As a key part of store leadership, you’ll coach colleagues, manage performance, and oversee scheduling and pay accuracy while upholding our customer-centric standards across the store and local networks.

Qualifications

• Track record of delivering brilliant customer service and coaching teams.
• Experience leading a team in fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
• Operational leadership responsibilities in the absence of more senior managers.
• Proven ability to meet or exceed KPIs (sales, availability, customer satisfaction).
• Experience handling employee relations issues including performance and absence management.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with a small team of managers to ensure the store runs like clockwork daily.
• Take responsibility for day-to-day running of the store, often sole manager on site.
• Collaborate with team to serve customers efficiently and safely.
• Manage performance, capability, disciplinaries and scheduling/pay accuracy.
• Occasionally support another store in nearby networks.
