Sainsbury's Limited in Windermere is seeking a Customer and Trading Manager for a permanent, full-time role at our Windermere convenience store. You’ll lead a small management team to keep the store running like clockwork, drive performance against KPIs, and deliver outstanding customer service in a busy, fast-paced environment.

You will be accountable for day-to-day store operations, with responsibility for people management, scheduling and pay, and may support nearby stores as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous line management responsibilities in a fast-paced, operational environment.
• Provides brilliant customer service and coaches a team to do the same.
• Delivers KPIs and other performance indicators.
• Can manage disciplinaries, performance issues or other employee relations issues.
• Leads operations and can work independently in the absence of senior management.
• Strong track record of motivating teams and driving performance.

Responsibilities

• Working closely with a small team of managers to ensure the store runs smoothly.
• Taking responsibility for day-to-day running of the store, often the only manager in.
• Work with a team to complete tasks, ensuring customers are served efficiently and safely.
• People management including performance, disciplinaries, scheduling and pay.
• Occasionally supporting other nearby stores.
