Job summary

Sainsbury's is seeking a proactive Customer & Trading Manager to oversee daily store operations, lead a small management team, and ensure seamless service for customers. You will drive performance, coach colleagues, and take accountability for the shop in the absence of senior management.

The role focuses on operational leadership, delivering KPIs, and maintaining high standards of customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a team in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
• Proven ability to coach colleagues to deliver excellent service and meet targets.
• Strong leadership to run store operations in the absence of senior management.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with a small team of managers to ensure the store runs smoothly every day.
• Take responsibility for day-to-day store running and be the accountable manager when needed.
• Lead a team to ensure customers are served efficiently and safely.
• Manage performance, capability, disciplinaries and scheduling to ensure payroll accuracy.
• Occasionally support nearby stores to maintain operations.
