Job summary

Boots is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead a store, coach the team and deliver outstanding customer care while driving commercial performance. You’ll balance people, performance and operations, owning day-to-day store running and ensuring standards across safety, stock and service.

You will report to the Store Manager, support scheduling and rota planning, and act as a role model for great care and compliant pharmacy services. This is a hands-on leadership role with real impact.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a team in a customer-facing environment.
• Proven ability to drive performance and results.
• Inspire, coach others and manage performance.
• Strong planning and rota management skills.
• Understanding of compliance, safety and standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support your team on the shop floor and coach them.
• Ensure strong performance while delivering great care.
• Plan, schedule, staff and prioritise workload.
• Maintain high store standards: clean, safe and easy to shop.
• Own stock availability, cost control and loss prevention.
• Ensure audits and risk assessments are completed.
