Job summary

The Boots Company PLC is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead a pharmacy-led retail team in the West of England. You’ll coach colleagues, balance people, performance and operations, and role model exceptional customer and patient care on the shop floor.

Reporting to the Store Manager, you’ll plan rotas, manage stock and safety audits, use data to spot opportunities, and guide your team to deliver compliant, friendly service every day. A UK Pharmacy qualification path may be pursued.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a customer-facing team.
• Ability to drive performance and ensure compliance.
• Strong planning, scheduling and workload prioritisation.
• Willingness to pursue Pharmacy qualification.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team on the shop floor, role modelling great care.
• Balance people, performance and store operations daily.
• Plan rotas, manage stock, and ensure safety and audits.
• Use data and reports to identify opportunities and take action.
• Maintain high standards of safety, legality and customer experience.
• Own day-to-day running of the store in the Store Manager's absence.
• Support compliant pharmacy services and customer care.
