Job summary

Boots Group is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead a high-performing team on the shop floor and deliver exceptional customer and patient care. You will model great service, support safe pharmacy-related practices and drive commercial results across the store.

You’ll balance people leadership with operations, shaping the customer experience and ensuring standards are met. The role offers real impact and growth within a national retailer.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team to deliver strong performance while providing great care to customers and patients.
• Create a positive, supportive team environment where people feel confident and motivated.
• Coach, develop and line manage your team with regular conversations and clear goals.
• Oversee day-to-day store running: planning, scheduling, staffing and prioritising workload.
• Maintain high store standards: clean, safe and easy to shop.
• Own stock availability, costs and loss prevention.
• Ensure safety, legality and audits compliance across the store.
• Use data and in-store insights to identify opportunities and act.
• Lead store confidently in the Store Leader's absence.
