Job summary

Boots is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead a store team, delivering strong commercial results while ensuring exceptional customer and patient care. You’ll coach staff, manage performance, and take responsibility for day-to-day operations, stock and safety in a fast-paced retail pharmacy environment.

You will collaborate with the Store Manager to drive planning, scheduling and workloads, ensuring high standards and compliant procedures, with opportunities to progress into broader leadership

Responsibilities

• Lead the team on shop floor and support Store Manager.
• Deliver strong performance while maintaining customer care.
• Coach, develop and line manage team with clear goals.
• Oversee day-to-day store operations, planning, scheduling and workload.
• Maintain high store standards: cleanliness, safety and ease of shopping.
• Control stock, costs and loss prevention.
• Ensure audits, checks and risk assessments are compliant.
• Use reports and in-store insights to identify opportunities.
