Overview
The Aircraft Operations Training and Compliance Officer will support the TACO team in delivering strong leadership and guidance across Aircraft Operations (ACO) and the Private Jet Centre (PJC), ensuring that all operational areas continue to run safely, compliantly, and in accordance with regulatory and statutory requirements.
This step-up role will require the successful candidate to complete the training and shadowing and then cover TACO compliance and remote shifts on a rotational basis.
The successful candidate will use this opportunity to gain a better understanding of the Training and Compliance Officer role to help prepare them for the full TACO role should they wish to apply for it in the future.
The Step Up TACO will mainly be focusing on the operational side of the role with some basic elements of training.
The Step Up TACO will be paid at your normal hourly rate plus an additional hourly rate of £3.32
Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of health and safety requirements, health & safety awareness, and CAP compliance (such as CAP 642 Airside Safety Management, CAP 393 Air Navigation Order 2016 (CAA UK) etc.). CAA/DfT SCD, ICAO Annex 19 - Safety Management Systems (SMS), Operators & Airlines Ground Handling Manuals, IATA Manuals and EASA Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2025/20
- Support adherence to documented procedures, operational manuals, and Standard Operating Procedures by assisting with updates following regulatory or legislative changes.
- Support the reporting and resolution of hazards or unsafe acts through the Accident and Safety reporting scheme, ensuring timely escalation to relevant managers.
- Assist in the delivery of safety awareness campaigns and ad-hoc training to promote a proactive safety culture.
- Support the Maintenance and Competency training scheme by acting as an assessor/verifier where qualified, and by helping with monthly assessments and record-keeping.
- Support the training and coaching of staff joining ACO & PJC, assisting with induction and recurrent training to help build competence and customer service standards.
- Support engagement with the Aircraft Operations Manager team by providing updates and feedback on staff training and performance.
- Assist in the delivery and maintenance of training courses across Aircraft Operations & Jet Centre, helping to ensure training packages are accurate, up to date, and aligned with new procedures and instructions.

- Support the maintenance and review of training materials and manuals, ensuring annual reviews and timely updates in line with internal Quality Management Systems and external regulatory frameworks.
- Support internal and external audits by helping to provide documentation, evidence, and corrective actions as required.
- Assist with regular internal Team/Turnround audits and contribute to trend analysis and performance monitoring, helping to produce reports where required.
- Support the development of staff competencies by providing feedback, coaching, and mentoring where appropriate.
- Assist with the training and validation of selected staff and help to maintain associated training packages and validation records in.

Security Responsibilities
- Pay due care and attention to security procedures both on and off site to ensure the safety of yourself and others.
- Ensure security legislative requirements are complied with (such as instructed during initial and annual refresher General Security Awareness Training, GSAT).
- Not to undertake any tasks or functions that will compromise the security of self, others or the organisation and to ensure that any acts that are witnessed that appear to breach security procedures are challenged immediately.
- Ensure any acts which are believed to breach security procedures are reported through the Security Incident reporting scheme and to the relevant managers.
Key Competencies
- 3 years of experience working within Aircraft Operations or our Private Jet centre
- Proven extensive knowledge of Out Bound Baggage, Aircraft Operations, and our Private Jet Centre
- Knowledge of EASA/CAA regulation and IATA requirements(Essential)
- Knowledge of Safety Management System (E)
- Knowledge of our Quality Management System (E)
- Knowledge of Environmental Management System (E)
Qualifications
Education & Training
- Qualified Assessor/ Internal Verifier for the Maintenance and Competency training scheme

- Expertise in working within an operational environment on an airfield. (E)
