Job Description

Steel Fabricator / Welder
£15.50 – £16.50 per hour + overtime

Monday to Friday, 42.5 hrs a week

About the Role

An well-established engineering business in Leicester are looking for a permanent Steel Fabricator / Welder to join their growing workforce. You will be responsible for reading technical drawings, measuring, cutting, welding and assembling steel components to precise specifications.

Requirements
  • Proven experience in steel fabrication.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Proficient in welding and metalworking techniques.
  • Competent with fabrication tools and machinery.
  • Physical ability to handle materials and work in a workshop environment.
  • Relevant trade qualification or apprenticeship (desirable).
Benefits
  • £15.50 – £16.50 per hour.
  • Overtime is time and 1/4 after 42.5 hrs, after 47 hrs time and 1/2.

Experience & Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Steel Fabricator.
  • Background in structural steel / architectural metalwork.
  • Confident reading and interpreting fabrication drawings.
  • Strong jig work and setting-out ability.
