Qualifications

  • Must be able to drive as there is no public transport to the facility.
  • Registered with NMC as an Adult Nurse.
  • Experience in phlebotomy is required.
  • Basic Life Support certification is mandatory.
  • Ability to recognize clinical problems and act accordingly.

Staff Nurse – Outpatients London: Elstree Waterfront Outpatients Centre, Part of The Wellington Hospital Full time: 37.5 hours per week (Unitis open 8-8 Mon-Fri and 8-1 Sat) Shifts: Ability to do long days, short shifts or combination (working 2 Saturdays per month) Fixed Term Contract until March 2027 Competitive salary plus enhancements and benefits

We’re looking for a Staff Nurse to join our Outpatients team at Elstree Outpatients Centre, part of The Wellington Hospital, currently rated “Good” by the CQC on a fixed term contract until March 2027.

You’ll be based at our Elstree Waterfront Outpatients Centre, a calm and well‑organised setting with a small and supportive team. The centre recovers a wide range of specialities and benefits from free onsite parking and access to an onsite 3T MRI scanner. It’s a friendly environment where colleagues work closely together, supported by the wider hospital group.

Responsibilities

As a Staff Nurse – Outpatients, you’ll be part of a team that supports a variety of clinics, offering nursing expertise across multiple specialisms. Day‑to‑day you’ll carry out ECGs, bloods, wound care, dressings and pre‑assessment, adapting to the needs of the clinic you’re working with. You’ll work collaboratively with colleagues across the centre, including the radiography team, and play an important role in maintaining high standards of care while contributing to a positive experience for everyone who visits us.
