Overview

We are looking to recruit enthusiastic and motivated nurses to work with the Multi-disciplinary Team in Birch Ward as a band 5. The applicants should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

About the ward

We are an acute medical ward specialising in General Medicine. We are a friendly and conscientious team who are passionate about the Medicine. We have a large workforce including covering the ward with all the different specialities including gastroenterology, cardiac, endocrinology, respiratory and sometimes End of Life Care.

Training and development

We have been trained to a high standard for acute medicine, as we were previously a older people services ward. You will also have the benefit and opportunity to gain training to uplift your acute skills; we have many programmes and development days.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high quality dignified care to patients in a safe environment as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrate excellent organisational and interpersonal skills and contribute to the delivery of patient-centred care.
  • Work within a multidisciplinary team and support the development of the service.
  • Engage in induction programmes and development opportunities to uplift acute nursing skills.
Requirements
  • Registered nurses with current registration and a commitment to high standards of care.
  • Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and focus on developing the service we provide.
