Job summary

Eaton, a global power management leader, is seeking a Specification Sales Engineer for Power Distribution in the United Kingdom. You will influence design decisions early in construction and refurbishment projects, engaging with consultants and end users to ensure Eaton solutions are specified before tender.

You will identify opportunities, develop relationships with engineers and end users, and position Eaton as the preferred technical partner for power distribution and energy resilience.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND, Degree, or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, or proven experience within power distribution or technical sales.
• Experience working with consultants, contractors, end users, or specification-led projects.
• Familiarity with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred).

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with consulting engineers, building services consultants, contractors, and end users to influence specifications on major projects.
• Drive early engagement on projects from concept through design stages, positioning Eaton as the preferred power distribution partner.
• Provide technical guidance on LV switchgear, switchboards, circuit protection, energy management, power quality, surge protection, and EV infrastructure.
• Deliver CPDs, technical presentations, and design workshops to consultants and engineering teams.
• Champion Eaton specifications throughout the tender process, demonstrating the value of our solutions in safety, reliability, sustainability, digitalisation, and energy resilience.
• Collaborate with sales, application engineering, and product teams to convert specifications into successful project wins.
