Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Specification Sales Engineer for Power Distribution in the United Kingdom. The role focuses on influencing design decisions early in construction, infrastructure and refurbishment projects, engaging with consulting engineers and end users to secure Eaton specifications.

You will provide technical guidance on LV/MV distribution, deliver CPDs and workshops, and work with cross‑functional teams to convert specifications into successful project wins.

Qualifications

• Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent, with experience in power distribution, switchgear or technical sales.
• Experience working with consultants, contractors, end users, or specification-led projects.
• Familiarity with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred).

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with consulting engineers, building services consultants, contractors and end users to influence specifications on major projects.
• Drive early engagement on projects from concept through design stages, positioning Eaton as the preferred power distribution partner.
• Provide technical guidance on LV switchgear, switchboards, circuit protection, energy management, power quality, surge protection, and EV infrastructure.
• Deliver CPDs, technical presentations, and design workshops to consultants and engineering teams.
• Champion Eaton specifications throughout the tender process, demonstrating value in safety, reliability, sustainability and energy resilience.
• Collaborate with sales, application engineering and product teams to convert specifications into project wins.
