Job summary

Job overview

This is a 6PA plus 1 PA and 3% Category A availability supplement for on-call post.

Successful applicants must have MRCP or equivalent and be on, or within six months of inclusion on, the Specialist Register and be fully registered with the GMC, as well as Approved Clinician and S12 approval under the Mental Health Act.

Main duties of the job
  • To provide psychiatric care to patients referred to the SWK CMHT.
  • To provide medical input to the SWK CMHT Team.
  • To ensure effective liaison occurs between mental health services and the acute hospital, and also with other agencies in the voluntary and statutory sectors as appropriate.
  • The post holder undertakes, exceptionally, to perform additional duties in occasional emergencies and unforeseen circumstances.
