Job responsibilities

What you'll be working:

Our standard working hours are 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. However, we understand the importance of a positive work-life balance, and therefore, if you require some flexibility to better suit your personal or professional needs, we encourage you to discuss this with us, and we will do our best to accommodate your preferences where possible.

What you'll be doing:

  • Provide assessment and management of communication and swallowing disorders
  • Devise evidence-led therapy programmes for patients at a specialist level, with an emphasis on multidisciplinary working to achieve the best outcomes for our patients
  • Maintain high standards of clinical care in line with national guidance for excellence
  • Key Worker duties to ensure cohesive goal-setting and therapy and coordinating discharge
  • Supervise junior staff including assistants and students
  • Participate in internal training (induction, mandatory training, MDT in-service)
  • Ensure all relevant codes of practice and regulations are upheld
  • Participate in service delivery audit and quality improvement initiatives
  • The post holder may be required to provide cover at our nearby Chislehurst site
  • Keep people safe from harm and protect their human rights

Person Specification
Qualifications Essential
  • HCPC registration
  • Specialist level dysphagia competency on RCSLT framework
Experience Essential
  • Previous experience of working in a neurorehabilitation setting
  • Ability to motivate patients over long periods
