A very exciting opportunity has arisen for a specialist SEN teacher to join our award-winning SEN school. This role includes delivering a range of subjects across the curriculum to students aged 3-19 years-old, with additional learning needs (ALN). It is essential for this role that applicants have had previous experience in creating teaching environments where students are nurtured and encouraged. The school's ethos in encouraging the growth of confident individuals ready to play a full part in life, underpins the delivery of the curriculum and reflects the wider culture throughout the school.

About the School

The school is based in Penarth and has a pupil base of 500 approx. ranging from 3-19-year-olds all with ALN. The ALN include but are not limited to Autistic Spectrum disorder (ASD), profound, multiple learning disabilities (PMLD), and physical disabilities (PD).

Although the school is face-paced and high-pressure you will always have the unconditional support from your fellow staff and dedicated head teacher.

Requirements
  • Hold a Qualified Teaching Status (QTS).
  • Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
  • Child and Adult Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
  • Level 2 Safeguard training.
  • Professional references covering the previous 24 months of employment, in addition to/ including a reference from a SEN school as a previous employer.
