Are you interested in a career in mental health dietetics?

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Dietitian to join our team to further extend the dietetics service at Cygnet Forestwood CAMHS and meet the needs of young people with Eating Disorder, Disordered Eating and weight management needs.

We are looking for a motivated Dietitian wanting to expand their skills or learn new skills within a mental health inpatient setting. We will support you in developing the knowledge and skills required to transition into the role.

What does the role involve?

Dietetics support needs will vary from promoting healthy eating and weight management to supporting individuals with Eating Disorder and Disordered Eating. Service delivery may involve providing first line advice, 1:1 sessions with individuals, groups, and staff education and training, and supporting the catering team in menu planning.

What does the role involve?

Candidate requirements

  • A degree/postgraduate diploma (or equivalent) in Dietetics, registration with HCPC (Health Care Professions Council) and membership of the BDA (British Dietetic Association).
  • Ability to meet the requirements of the Job Description.
  • Experience in healthy eating promotion, weight management evidenced by sound clinical knowledge.
  • Experience and/or strong interest in Eating Disorders and Disordered Eating (essential – support available).
  • Evidence of being a strong team player with a genuine desire to help others.
  • Enthusiasm, motivation and passion.
