Job summary

A health service provider in Bolton is seeking a Specialist CAMHS Practitioner to support children's mental health services. The successful candidate will work closely with multi-disciplinary teams, develop care plans, and ensure effective service delivery. Specialist CAMHS Practitioner- Integrated Front Door (IFD)

We have an exciting opportunity for a specialist CAMHS practitioner to be co located with Bolton Integrated Front Door.

Under the supervision of the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Team (CAMHS) will be a specialist practitioner within Bolton Integrated Front Door, will represent Mental Health Services, will have knowledge of mental health law and that pertaining to children's statutory services.

Main duties of the job

To recognise, promote and support consultation methods to ascertain potential or reported Mental Health, Emotional Health or behavioural needs and to signpost appropriately using Thrive aligned structures and services.

To promote and support service delivery for Children and Young People with Mental Health and Emotional Health needs, providing guidance, teaching and specialist knowledge to their families/carers and to other professional colleagues.

To understand and have specialist knowledge in respect of statutory guidance Working Together to Safeguard Children.

To work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary way to promote children's Mental Health and Emotional Health. To achieve quality improvement to support the implementation of joint improved care pathways.

To contribute to holistic care planning for children and young people.

To develop a quality assurance plan in order to review efficacy and impact of the specialist role.

To contribute to multiagency assessment and planning for young people who are at risk to themselves or others e.g. to join strategy meetings and work across Integrated Front Door and CAMHS.
