Department of Microbiology, Virology and Infection Prevention Control Specialist Biomedical Scientist in Virology. We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic HCPC-registered Specialist Biomedical Scientist in Virology. This is a role to support the Virology diagnostic laboratory. The successful candidate is expected to have experience in an NHS Virology/Molecular laboratory. The successful candidate will be required to participate in weekend working (Saturday shifts). The department provides an extensive range of investigations to support the specialist patient population of this tertiary referral paediatric hospital, and also provides a specialist service to other hospitals. This is an excellent opportunity to work as part of a very experienced and dedicated team to gain extra skills and knowledge of paediatric Virology.
