£88‑£100 per day – Full‑Time (Monday‑Friday, 8:30 am‑3:30 pm)

A specialist school in Cheltenham is seeking a dedicated Special Needs Assistant to support pupils aged 4 to 19 with profound learning difficulties (PMLD). Many students also have additional physical, sensory, or communication needs, and require consistent, structured support throughout the school day.

About the Role

As a Special Needs Assistant, you will work closely with pupils who require a high level of individualised support. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties
  • Supporting communication through specialist methods (training provided)
  • Helping with sensory-based activities and structured routines
  • Creating a calm, safe and positive learning environment
  • Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists and support staff
What the School Is Looking For

The school is looking for someone who is:
