Job summary

A leading aerospace engineering firm in the UK is looking for a Satellite AIT Electrical Systems Engineer to join their team in Stevenage. In this role, you will derive and implement test procedures, execute complex tests, and support anomaly investigations. Candidates should have over 5 years of experience in spacecraft systems and a degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or equivalent experience. The position offers a 12-month contract with a competitive rate and requires onsite work with some UK travel.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in spacecraft/avionics system test or similar complex systems environment.
  • Experience supporting environmental/launch test campaigns and NRBs/TRBs.

Responsibilities

  • Derive and implement test procedures and automated sequences from system specs.
  • Execute and debug complex test sequences on spacecraft/benches.
  • Provide first-line technical support to test ops during execution & anomaly events.
  • Participate in test readiness/post-test reviews & non-conformance reviews.
  • Write test reports and close-out documentation.

Skills

Writing/debugging automated test sequences
Strong spacecraft system awareness
Experience with C/Java/Python/TCL/VBA
Comfortable with Linux/Windows test environments

Education

Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience
