Overview

Sous chef required for a fish focused kitchen towards the coast in South Shields. The kitchen receives daily fish landings; the sous chef and head chef will create fish specials each day. They are looking for a chef with passion for fish and creativity to bring new ideas. If you are all about fish, with a great knowledge of different types of fish, this is the role for you. You will contribute to the menu and bring fish knowledge.

The role

As a sous chef you will be responsible for the smooth running of the kitchen with the head chef. You will ensure everything runs smoothly, that the kitchen is prepped and cooked in service. You will create daily fish dishes and bring your knowledge of fish to the blue chopping board. This sous chef role will include all the standard sous chef duties.

Experience

We are looking for a sous chef from a fresh food background with strong knowledge of fish; you will bring ideas and be good at presentation skills. You MUST be passionate and knowledgeable about fish and presentation. This role would suit either a junior sous chef, sous chef or even a head chef looking to step into a sous chef role. Y...
