Sous Chef - Monday to Friday, No Late Nights!

Location: Salisbury

Salary: £27,000 per annum

Hours: 7am-3pm, Monday to Friday

Holt Engineering are delighted to be recruiting for a Sous Chef to join our client's modern on-site restaurant in Salisbury — but this isn't your typical hospitality role! Forget split shifts and late-night finishes — this position offers you the creativity of a chef's kitchen, without the usual hospitality pressures. You'll be working in a stylish staff restaurant within a leading manufacturing business, serving complimentary breakfasts, lunches, and afternoon teas to employees and visitors. From homemade soups and fresh deli dishes to baked goods and houmous, you'll have the freedom to get creative and help design weekly menus featuring seasonal and on-trend ingredients.

What you'll be doing as a Sous Chef:
  • Preparing fresh dishes for breakfast, lunch, and afternoon service
  • Creating menus, including allergy-friendly and seasonal options
  • Ensuring all hygiene, health & safety, and food standards are met
  • Assisting with stock management and taking the lead when required
  • Delivering exceptional customer service and building great relationships with staff
  • Supporting and training any catering staff as needed
What we're looking for in a Sous Chef:
  • Previous experience as a Chef or Sous Chef
  • Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 or above)
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Good knowledge of food hygiene, allergens, and H&S regulations
  • A creative, motivated approach and high attention to detail
