Overview

Solution Architect - Azure / Digital Transformation

Hybrid | Permanent | Competitive salary + car allowance + benefits

We're recruiting a Solution Architect to design and deliver end-to-end technology solutions as part of a large-scale digital transformation programme.

This role suits an experienced architect who enjoys owning solution design from requirements through to delivery, working closely with stakeholders, engineering teams and delivery partners.

The role

As Solution Architect, you will:

• Own end-to-end solution architecture across cloud, integration, data, security and operations
• Design scalable, secure and cost-effective Azure-based solutions
• Produce high-quality architecture artefacts including HLDs, LLDs, NFRs, options papers and diagrams
• Define and govern integration patterns (APIs, microservices, event-driven architectures)
• Guide delivery teams through build, PoCs and technical spikes
• Support architecture assurance, design reviews and governance forums
• Champion performance, resilience, security and cost optimisation

Required experience

• Proven experience as a Solution Architect / Cloud Architect / Technical Architect
• Strong Microsoft Azure architecture experience
• Hands-on knowledge of APIs, microservices and modern integration patterns
• Data architecture exposure (e.g. Power BI, Fabric, Synapse, analytics platforms)
• Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code and containers
• Strong understanding of security architecture (IAM, RBAC, encryption, GDPR)
• Confident stakeholder engagement across technical and non-technical audiences

Nice to have

• Architecture frameworks such as TOGAF
• Experience in enterprise or complex business environments
