Small Claims Solicitor / Lead

£55,000 - 65,000 DOE + genuine work‑life balance

You’ll take full ownership of your caseload, running matters from pre‑action through to enforcement. It's hands‑on litigation with the autonomy to actually get things done, not sit around waiting for someone's sign‑off.

What you’ll be doing:

• Managing a varied caseload of small claims and debt recovery matters from start to finish
• Applying CPR, pre‑action protocols, and case management principles with confidence
• Drafting particulars of claim, witness statements, defences, and court bundles
• Conducting advocacy at small claims hearings where appropriate
• Liaising directly with clients, maintaining strong communication and trust
• Using Proclaim (or similar case management systems) to manage workflow efficiently

You’ll bring:

• Qualification as a Solicitor / CILEX / FILEX (or equivalent)
• PQE in debt recovery or small claims litigation
• Strong knowledge of civil procedure rules, costs, and enforcement
• Excellent drafting and analytical skills
• Confidence working independently in a fast‑paced environment
• An interest in working with modern legal tech and continuous process improvement

Nice to have (but not essential):

• Experience mentoring or supporting junior team members
• Familiarity with team coordination or workflow planning
• A decent sense of humour and a collaborative approach
