About the Company

Our client is a leading, fast-growing electronics manufacturer with a reputation for delivering high-quality products to a diverse customer base. With continued investment in people, technology, and facilities, they are now looking to expand their skilled production team by bringing in an experienced Soldering Technician.

The Role

As a Soldering Technician, inspecting and soldering to a high standard. This individual will be working as part of a team in auto assembly and mainly responsible for inspecting and reworking a combination of SMT and through‑hole components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Soldering a variety of products, including SMT and through‑hole components, wires, and thermal planes.
  • Following detailed assembly instructions and build standards.
  • Performing hand cleaning, fitting mechanical fixings, and maintaining a clean and safe work area.
  • Completing paperwork such as batch records, build reports, and logs accurately.
  • Supporting quality control by identifying and correcting errors ensuring no scrap.
  • Attending team meetings and contributing ideas to improve processes.
  • Maintaining tools and equipment, including microscopes and soldering irons.
  • Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety guidelines.
  • Working flexibly to help meet weekly production targets.
The Candidate
  • Experience in assembly of electronic printed circuit boards to IPC 610.
  • Skilled in SMT rework, multi‑layer/PTH hand soldering, and wire modifications.
  • Able to work from basic drawings.
  • Able to work quickly and accurately with a high level of throughput.
  • Familiarity with surface mount technology.
  • Strong attention to detail.
