In this role, you will conduct maintenance and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards while working on high-profile renewable energy projects. Qualifications

• 2-3 years' experience in solar PV installation, operation, and maintenance.
• Experience with AC/DC systems, inverters, fault diagnosis.
• Familiarity with monitoring platforms such as SolarEdge or Hark.

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled and reactive maintenance on PV installations.
• Conduct detailed inspections of PV modules and electrical components.
• Perform AC/DC electrical testing and diagnose faults.
• Monitor system performance and prepare detailed maintenance logs.

What We’re Looking For

Relevant Qualifications

• Level 3 City & Guilds / NVQ in Electrical Installations (or equivalent)
• 18th Edition BS7671 Wiring Regulations
• City & Guilds 2391 – Inspection & Testing (or equivalent)
• ECS Gold Card
• SMSTS – Site Management Safety Training Scheme
• Working at Height Certification
• IPAF / PASMA

Experience

• At least 2‑3 years’ experience in solar PV installation, operation and maintenance, preferably on commercial rooftops or ground‑mounted systems.
• Solid experience with AC/DC systems, inverters, fault diagnosis and electrical safety protocols.
• Familiarity with monitoring platforms such as SolarEdge or Hark is beneficial.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled and reactive maintenance on commercial and ground‑mounted PV installations.
• Conduct detailed inspections of PV modules, inverters, mounting structures and electrical components.
• Perform AC/DC electrical testing, thermographic surveys and torque checks.
• Diagnose and resolve faults across PV systems efficiently.
• Monitor system performance via solar monitoring platforms, assessing yield, availability and efficiency.
• Prepare detailed maintenance logs, reports and technical recommendations.
• Ensure all work adheres to health, safety and regulatory requirements.
• Serve as a technical point of contact between clients, subcontractors and project teams.
