Job description
Position Overview

We are recruiting an experienced Solar PV Electrician & Mobile Electrical Engineer based in Wiltshire. This dynamic mobile role covers the Southern Area and supports the renewable energy team across EV charging, solar panels and LED lighting. Join CCS and help shape the future of renewable energy, working safely with DC voltage and installing Solar PV systems in accordance with MCS standards and manufacturer guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install Solar PV systems and "Second Fix" equipment, including single‑phase inverters.
  • Inspect, test and commission PV installations across new build and existing properties.
  • Ensure all work complies with Health & Safety procedures and maintains a practical working environment.
  • Use a company van to travel between sites throughout Wiltshire; requires a full UK driving licence and minimum age of 21.
  • Provide high‑quality service to customers and maintain electrical installations safely.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Level 3 18th Edition Course (C&G) or BS 7671.
  • Experience with C&G 2372, BPEC or NAPIT certification.
  • Minimum 3 years of electrical installation experience, including PV.
  • Experience in installation, inspection and testing in new‑build properties.
  • Computer literate, good communication skills, strong time‑management, dynamic & flexible approach.
  • Hold a current valid UK driving licence and be over 21.
  • A CSCS/Gold card is preferred.
Salary & Benefits
  • Base salary £30,000 – £40,000 (≈£37,000) plus overtime (time & a half).
  • OTe of around £48,000 when daily criteria are met.
  • Fantastic technical training, bonus opportunities and company pension.
  • Company vehicle (personal use) and training funded for ECS Gold card & BPEC.
  • Home‑based role commuting from Gloucester, Stonehouse, Cirencester, Cheltenham, Dursley, Evesham.
