Solar Inspection Services Business Consultant

Location : Remote

Reports to : CEO

Employment type : Fractional / part-time / consultant (6 -12 months; 2 days per week approx.)

For the solar industry, Quantum Solutions developed drone‑based Electroluminescence (EL) inspection services for utility and commercial scales. Position summary

The Sales / Business Consultant– Solar EL (Electroluminescence) Inspection Services will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and cultivating relationships with key stakeholders across the solar value chain in the UK. This role combines technical understanding with customer‑facing sales skills to effectively communicate the value of our drone‑based EL inspection technologies. You will work closely with leadership to refine our go‑to‑market approach, shape service offerings based on customer needs, and secure strategic accounts that will anchor our growth in the solar industry.

What you’ll do
Business Development & Sales
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities for drone‑based EL inspection with solar asset owners, developers, and manufacturers in the UK.
  • Build and manage a pipeline of qualified leads to meet revenue targets.
  • Lead the full sales cycle—from initial outreach to closing contracts.
Market Development & Strategy
  • Help define and refine our market positioning within the solar industry.
  • Gather customer feedback and market intelligence to inform product / service enhancements.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows.
  • Assist in establishing partnerships that accelerate market entry and service adoption.
Relationship Building
  • Build long‑term relationships with key accounts and industry influencers.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, offering insights on system health, inspection best practices, and operational improvements.
  • Maintain regular contact with customers to identify upsell, renewal, and expansion opportunities.
What you’ll bring
  • Experience selling solar inspection services, inspection technologies, drones, or analytics platforms.
  • Existing network of contacts within the solar industry.
  • Familiarity with PV system components, performance metrics, and common failure modes.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and close deals in a consultative sales environment.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Self‑starter with the ability to thrive in a growing, fast‑paced, and evolving environment
