Job description

500M+ downloads. 77M+ monthly users. A decade of building – and we’re still accelerating.

Flo is the world’s #1 health & fitness app worldwide on a mission to build a better future for female health. Backed by a $200M investment led by General Atlantic, we became the first product of our kind to reach a $1B valuation in 2024 – and we’re not slowing down.

With 6M paid subscribers and the highest-rated experience in the App Store’s health category, we’ve spent 10 years earning trust at scale. Now, we’re building the next generation of digital health – AI-powered, privacy-first, clinically backed – to help our users know their body better.

The job

We’re looking for a creative, organised, and truly social-native Social Media Executive to support the day-to-day execution of content, creative development, and production across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and emerging platforms.

You will work closely with the Social Content Managers to scale Flo’s social presence. You’ll help turn ideas into content, prepare scripts and visuals, build community-loved moments, and keep our workflows smooth and efficient - you should have a team mentality to ensure efficient and collaborative production.

You should have a strong understanding of the social landscape, a passion for female health, and the creative curiosity to bring educational topics to life in ways that feel human, accessible, and scroll-stopping.

This is a part-time freelance role (2-3 days per week). 20 GBP per hour max rate. Outside of IR35

Must Have
  • 2-3+ years of experience in social media, content creation or a similar creative role.
  • Confident in creating short-form video content and appearing on camera when needed.
  • Deep understanding of TikTok, Instagram, and broader social media culture and behaviours.
  • Ability to edit simple short-form videos using CapCut, in-app tools, or similar platforms.
  • Strong design skills for creating social-first static content using Canva or Figma.
  • Exceptional organisation and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines at once.
  • Clear, confident English communication skills - both written and verbal.
  • Strong eye for visual identity, brand consistency, and clear storytelling, especially for educational and women’s health content.
What You’ll Be Doing
  • Help translate ideas into social-ready content, and support with creating, shooting, and occasionally appearing in engaging content for TikTok, Instagram, and other social channels.
  • Create static visual assets - carousels, story templates, educational graphics - that align with the brand’s visual identity and guidelines.
  • Support social-led growth and user acquisition by producing engaging, platform-native content for both organic and paid formats.
  • Track emerging trends, formats, and conversations, proactively recommending ways to incorporate them into our content plan.
  • Assist with scheduling and publishing to ensure a consistent weekly output across all social platforms.

How we work

We’re a mission-led, product-driven team. We move fast, stay focused and take ownership – from brief to build to impact. Debate is encouraged. Decisions are shared. We care about craft, ship with purpose, and always raise the bar.

You’ll be working with people who take their work seriously, not themselves. It takes commitment, resilience, and the drive to keep going when things get tough. Because better health outcomes are worth it.

What you'll get
  • Competitive salary and annual reviews
  • Opportunity to participate in Flo’s performance incentive scheme
  • Paid holiday, sick leave, and female health leave
  • Enhanced parental leave and pay for maternity, paternity, same-sex and adoptive parents
  • Accelerated professional growth through world-changing work and learning support
  • Flexible office + home working, up to 2 months a year working abroad
  • 5-week fully paid sabbatical at 5-year Floversary
  • Flo Premium for friends & family, plus more health, pension and wellbeing perks
Diversity, equity and inclusion

Our strength is in our differences. At Flo, hiring is based on merit, skill and what you bring to the role – nothing else. We’re proud to be an equal opportunity employer, and we welcome applicants from all backgrounds, communities and identities. Read our privacy notice for job applicants.
