Overview

Please note this is not a Swansea city council job. You will be working with a private client who receives direct payments.

Personal Information

The client is a young lady living in Swansea with a Functional Neurological Disorder that affects her speech, as well as chronic pain and chronic fatigue. She uses her phone to talk when needed and wishes to participate in community activities such as Mind groups, swimming, and bingo.

Job Details

Hours of work: 6 hours per week (days and times are flexible unless an appointment is scheduled).

Rate of pay: £13.13 per hour.

Essential Requirements
  • Drive the client to community activities.
  • Be patient.

  • Previous experience driving similar clients.

Employment Conditions

A trial period will involve a six‑month probationary period. Salary will be paid monthly. Annual leave is calculated on a pro‑rata basis. A DBS must be processed before any commencement of employment. Costs of DBS will be met by Swansea Council where the applicant is eligible.
