Qualifications

• Strong background in Cyber Security with expertise in Network Security and Infrastructure.

• Solid understanding of core network protocols and the OSI Model.

Responsibilities

• Maintain shift continuity and quality assurance across SOC operations.
• Mentor and develop Tier 1 & Tier 2 SOC Analysts.
• Act as the first point of contact for escalations within the shift team.
• Identify and log workflow issues for continuous improvement.

SOC Shift Leader - Stevenage. Our client is seeking a passionate and skilled SOC Shift Leader to join their multi-national Information Management function. Key Details

• Salary: Circa £70,000 depending on experience + Shift Premium
• Location: Stevenage
• Shift Pattern: On-site only, covering days, nights, and weekends on rotation
• Security Clearance: Must hold or be eligible for SC clearance; DV may be required

The Opportunity

The SOC Shift Leader role ensures operational excellence and team continuity across a 24/7 defence environment. You will provide live operational oversight, procedural assurance, mentorship, and quality control across rotating analyst teams.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining shift continuity and quality assurance across SOC operations
• Mentoring and developing Tier 1 & Tier 2 SOC Analysts
• Acting as the first point of contact for escalations within the shift team
• Supporting continuous improvement by identifying and logging workflow issues

What They're Looking For

• Strong background in Cyber Security, with expertise in Network Security and Infrastructure or a NOC
• Experience mentoring, coaching, or providing QA in a SOC environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for escalation and documentation
• Solid understanding of the OSI Model and core network protocols
• Hands-on experience with SIEM and/or Network Packet Capture tools
• Security Clearance to SC level will be a requirement and eventually DV
