A leading ICT recruitment consultancy in the UK is seeking a Soap WebServices Application Developer for a 12-month contract. The role is primarily remote, but involves interactions with client sites in Manchester and Newcastle. Candidates are required to have at least 5 years of residency in the UK and demonstrate expertise in SOAP Web Services, JAX-WS, and core Java OOP. Qualifications

• 5 years UK residency required.
• Strong understanding of WS-Security and WS-Addressing.
• Experience with MTOM and handler chains.

Responsibilities

• Develop and integrate SOAP Web Services.
• Implement service contracts and manage SOAP headers.
• Work with client sites primarily located in Manchester and Newcastle.

Primary Skills & Experience (Must-Have)

• Hands‑on SOAP Web Services – JAX‑WS, WSDL/XSD first, strong XML fundamentals.
• WS‑import / wsdl2java, service contracts, SOAP headers, faults, MTOM (binary attachments) and handler chains.
• WS‑Security (UsernameToken, Timestamp, Signature/Encryption), WS‑Addressing and WS‑Policy.
• Core Java OOP – encapsulation, inheritance, polymorphism, interfaces.
