Your role

You will join our Council's Grounds, Trees and Country Parks department as a skilled Landscape Gardener/Play Ground Inspector.

Your next role
  • General gardening and landscaping.
  • Play area inspections and minor repairs to play areas and fencing/gates in our Country Parks.
  • Represent the Borough Council in the public domain with a polite nature and smart appearance.
Responsibilities and requirements
  • Physically fit for bending, lifting, twisting, manual handling and working outside in all weather conditions.
  • Use of mechanically powered machinery and driving a light goods vehicle.
  • Lone working and the ability to work on your own initiative and independently when required.
  • A uniform is supplied; training where required will be provided.
  • A ROSPA Play Inspector's certification would be advantageous.
  • Hours of work: Monday to Thursday 07:30 – 16:00 and Friday 07:30 – 12:30.
  • You must be fluent in the English language (as a requirement of Part 7 of the Immigration Act for the effective performance of a customer-facing role).
