Job summary

📍 Site Surveyor – Retrofit Works (WPS)

Are you a commercially savvy Site Surveyor with a passion for delivering excellence in Retrofit works? 💡 We’re looking for a proactive and driven individual to join our WPS team, covering key sites across Basingstoke, Islington, and Newbury.

Your Role

Take full accountability for the development and implementation of all pre- and post-contract strategies, commercial functions, and contract reporting across delegated projects and work packages.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • 🦺 Health & Safety : Promote and ensure compliance with group SHE policies, conduct site safety samples, and review subcontractor safety performance.
  • 👥 People & Leadership : Support team development through PDRs and training, seek growth opportunities beyond surveying, and drive performance through regular reviews.
  • 🤝 Customer Relations : Build strong relationships with clients and consultants, understand their drivers, and enhance Wates’ service offering.
  • 💰 Commercial Management : Manage subcontract packages, contribute to procurement strategies, issue tender enquiries, and ensure contractual obligations are met.
  • 📈 Process & Performance : Make sound commercial decisions, maximise value recovery, and maintain high standards of quality and compliance.
Reporting Line

You’ll report to the Project Surveyor and / or Surveying Manager.
