A leading utility provider is seeking a Site Service Engineer in Sundon, Charlton. This role entails managing the condition monitoring team and ensuring compliance with safety procedures. Ideal candidates will possess an NVQ Level 3 in an engineering discipline and significant experience in project management. Responsibilities include leading maintenance activities and guaranteeing customer satisfaction. The position offers a competitive salary up to £58,750 plus benefits including a pension scheme and career development opportunities, with travel required for the role.
The Site Service Engineer is responsible for providing instruction and practical assistance with condition monitoring equipment and resources to both ET Operations Staff and contractors working on National Grid’s behalf as required. They support and manage the day‑to‑day activities of the team, ensuring customer satisfaction. Additionally, they participate in all assurance and audit‑related activities, creating and formalising processes for the various support functions within Site Services in collaboration with the Site Services Manager to aid and deliver for the wider teams.
They manage the condition monitoring team across various locations and oversee the operation of the equipment, including its in and out processes. Furthermore, they coordinate and assist the Site Services Manager and other Site Services Engineers with the existing transformer spares storage facility and potential future locations.
This role will be based in Sundon, Charlton and require some travel. We’re happy to discuss any additional flexibility in working patterns or requirements that you feel could help to make this job work for you!
