Job summary

Randstad CPE in Bath seeks an enthusiastic Assistant Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day operations for one of our trusted clients. The role is based in Bath with occasional travel to sister sites for joint training and collaborative projects.

You will manage a small in-house team, maintain resident relations, and ensure health and safety compliance. The role is permanent, full-time, 37 hours weekly, with a competitive £34,000 salary and benefits including holidays and pension.

Qualifications

• Experience in operations, customer service, or property management.
• Direct experience managing staff.
• Excellent face-to-face communication with residents.
• Proactive health and safety mindset and strong record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Direct and line-manage an in-house team of 9 tradespeople and 2 cleaners, handling daily task delegation and rota coverage.
• Maintain clear communication with residents to support their customer journey and promptly resolve inquiries.
• Oversee site health, safety, and compliance, conducting safety checks and upholding standards.
• Manage day-to-day maintenance and repairs, coordinating with third‑party subcontractors for larger works.
• Complete administrative duties, maintain tracking sheets, reports, and compliance records.
• Support emergency procedures and participate in the Duty Manager rota to ensure continuity.
