Job summary

Randstad C&P is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day operations for a resident-focused site in Bath. Based in Bath, you will lead an in-house team, ensuring smooth daily operations with a hands-on, customer-facing approach.

There are opportunities for training and development, a 37-hour work week, and a comprehensive benefits package, with occasional travel to sister sites for joint training and projects.

Qualifications

• Experience in operations or customer-facing environments with direct staff management.
• Strong face-to-face communication with residents on a daily basis.
• Health-and-safety conscious mindset with attention to compliance and record-keeping.
• Practical leadership and reliability over formal qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Direct and line-manage an in-house team of 9 tradespeople and 2 cleaners, delegating tasks and monitoring performance.
• Maintain clear communication with residents to support their journey and resolve enquiries promptly.
• Oversee site health, safety, and compliance with regular safety checks.
• Coordinate with third-party subcontractors for larger works.
• Maintain tracking sheets, operational reporting and compliance records.
• Support emergency response procedures and participate in the Duty Manager rota.
