Overview

Job Title: Site Maintenance Engineer

Location: Central London

Salary: £45,000 to £50,000 plus overtime

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Electrician to perform planned and reactive electrical maintenance, ensuring the continuous operation, safety, and compliance of building services systems. This role requires strong technical ability, diagnostic skills, and adherence to high standards.

Responsibilities
  • Execute planned and reactive electrical maintenance tasks, accurately documenting all work.
  • Conduct fault finding and repairs on diverse electrical assets and distribution systems.
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical infrastructure, including lighting, power circuits, and containment.
  • Ensure all electrical works comply with relevant standards (e.g., 18th Edition, BS 7671) and statutory requirements (e.g., Fire, Emergency Lighting).
  • Operate and maintain a full understanding of site electrical plant/services, including start-up, shutdown, and isolation procedures.
  • Implement and adhere to safe systems of work, including isolation procedures.
  • Support testing and commissioning activities for electrical systems.
  • Maintain accurate electrical records, logs, and documentation.
  • Collaborate effectively with site teams, supervisors, and other trades.
Qualifications
  • Level 3 NVQ Diploma.
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
  • City & Guilds 2391/2395 Testing & Inspection (highly desirable).
Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years in a technical electrical role within a building services or industrial environment.
  • Proven experience in electrical maintenance, fault finding, and installation.
  • Familiarity with Statutory & HSE compliance.
