Job summary

MCR Property Group in Bedford is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to own monthly cost reporting, financial forecasting, and contract management from inception to final account, ensuring schemes are delivered within budget and programme. You will drive procurement, value engineering, and tendering across projects to keep delivery on budget and schedule.

Based on site, you will collaborate with Project Managers and fellow surveyors, provide commercial leadership, and contribute to the group’s growing

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years' experience as Quantity Surveyor in varied project types.
Experience in developer/main contractor/subcontractor environments across pre- and post-contract stages.
Strong knowledge of cost plans, BOQs, tendering, and procurement.
Proficient with Excel and Word; driving licence required.

Responsibilities

Own monthly cost reporting and financial forecasting; manage contracts and subcontracts.
Oversee variations and final account processes; support pre- and post-contract stages.
Collaborate with Project Managers and other Quantity Surveyors to shape commercial strategy and financial control.
Site-based role with regular valuations and project reviews; ensure delivery within budget and programme.
