Job summary

MCR Property Group is recruiting a Quantity Surveyor to support commercial and financial delivery on a Bedford project. You will own cost reporting, forecasts, and management of contracts and variations, working with a delivery team and reporting to directors.

The role is site-based, requiring experience across pre- and post-contract stages, strong Excel/Word skills, and a full driving licence. The successful candidate will contribute to the commercial strategy and budget control across the

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor across a range of project types.
• Experience in developer, main contractor, or subcontractor environments; pre- and post-contract work.
• Experience with cost plans, bills of quantities, tendering and procurement, value engineering, tender reporting, interim valuations, and final accounts.
• Strong knowledge of Excel, Word; full UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly cost reporting and financial forecasting.
• Manage contract and subcontract packages and variations.
• Work with Project Managers to contribute to the commercial strategy and financial control.
• Carry out tendering and procurement activities.
