Job summary

MCR Property Group is seeking a Quantity Surveyor for a Bedford-based project. The role focuses on ensuring procurement efficiency and delivering schemes within budgets and programmes, with hands-on commercial input from inception through to final account.

You will report to the Construction and Commercial Directors, own cost reporting, forecasting, contract packages and variations, and work with a delivery team across projects within the portfolio.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor across a range of project types and values.
• Experience within a developer, main contractor, or subcontractor environment.
• Preparation of cost plans and estimates, measurement for bills of quantities, tendering and procurement, value engineering, tender reporting, interim valuations and final accounts.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly cost reporting and financial forecasting for projects.
• Manage contract and subcontract packages and handle variations.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to support commercial strategy and financial control.
• Role is primarily site-based with regular valuations and project reviews.
