Sister / Charge Nurse – Cardiology
Wexham Park Hospital
Lead in delivering high‑quality, safe patient care in line with Trust policies and evidence‑based practice.
Manage staffing arrangements, including shift rotas and ensuring appropriate staffing levels and skill mix in accordance with ward and Trust policies.
Deputise for the Unit Manager as required, representing the ward at meetings and committees, and supporting the management of core services, ward issues and resource optimisation.
Promote a positive and supportive working environment, ensuring effective teamwork, staff wellbeing and an environment conducive to learning for both registered and unregistered staff.
Lead on staff development and governance activities, including appraisals, training needs identification, recruitment and selection, staff induction and preceptorship, participation in clinical audit and appropriate management of complaints to improve service quality.
Experience caring for cardiac patients within an acute setting.
Up‑to‑date clinical knowledge and evidence of recent professional development.
Commitment to evidence‑based practice.
