Job summary

A motorsport simulation company in Banbury is seeking a Technical Simulator Specialist to run simulator sessions, maintain and develop in-house simulators, and provide customer support. Candidates should possess strong technical skills, with a background in data analysis and a passion for sim racing. Experience with CAD software and knowledge of Assetto Corsa are advantageous for this role. The position may require travel and flexible working hours.

Qualifications

• Keen interest in sim racing and real-world motorsport.

Responsibilities

• Run simulator sessions with clients for driver coaching.
• Maintain and develop in-house simulators and software.
• Create accurate car models in Assetto Corsa.
• Assist with simulator designs and improvements.
• Install and deliver customer simulators.
• Provide technical support to customers.

Skills

General technical knowledge of computer hardware and software

Knowledge of Assetto Corsa

Experience in data analysis

Knowledge of MoTeC i2 or similar

Job description

Responsibilities

• Run simulator sessions with clients, conducting driver coaching on in-house simulators, using data and video overlays
• Maintain and develop in-house simulators and software
• Create accurate car models in Assetto Corsa based on real world data
• Assist with future simulator designs and improve/develop upon current simulators
• Assist with simulator builds, ranging from BPS stock products to bespoke solutions
• Set up PC’s for customer simulators
• Deliver and install customer simulators at their property
• Provide technical support to customers via phone or in person

Experience & Skills

• General technical knowledge of computer hardware and software
• Knowledge of Assetto Corsa would be advantageous, specifically file structuring and file formats
• Experience in data analysis
• Knowledge of MoTeC i2, Circuit Tools or similar
• Experience using CAD would be advantageous
• Keen analytical skills and ability to work through problems
• Willing to travel and work flexible hours when required
