Job summary

A recycling specialist located in Sandycroft is seeking a Shovel Driver. Your responsibilities will include loading and unloading waste materials, operating machinery like bale clamp trucks, and ensuring site rule compliance. Ideal candidates will have experience in the wastepaper/recycling industry along with a strong work ethic. Flexible working hours with pay at £14.00 per hour.

Qualifications

  • Experience in the wastepaper/recycling industry required.
  • Previous experience operating a bale clamp truck and telehandler loading shovel is a must.
  • Candidates must demonstrate an excellent time keeping and attendance record.

Responsibilities

  • Loading and unloading waste materials in the yards area.

  • Operating the baling press.
  • Loading and unloading shipping containers.
  • Monitoring compliance with site rules.

Overview

n exciting on-going opportunity has become available for 1x Shovel Drivers to work with our client, who is a Cardboard and Waste Paper Recycling specialist based in Sandycroft CH5 on a temporary basis.

As a Shovel Driver, you will be responsible for loading and unloading of waste materials in the yards area

Pay & Hours
  • £14.00 per hour
  • Monday to Friday working static days OR nights
  • 8-12 hour shifts - Flexibility required
  • Weekend work also available
Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Loading and unloading of waste materials in the yards area and work as part of a team.
  • Operating a bale clamp truck and telehandler loading shovel.
  • Operating the baling press.
  • Operation of fixed and mobile plant according to the training given, and within site rules.
  • Loading and unloading shipping containers
  • Monitoring other personnel working at or visiting the depot and to ensure that they are complying with site rules, and to promptly report breaches.
  • General housekeeping and maintenance
Requirements
  • Experience in the wastepaper/recycling industry
  • Previous experience operating a bale clamp truck and telehandler loading shovel
  • Candidate’s must have good attitude to work and must demonstrate an excellent time keeping and attendance record
