Job description

Short term Live out or Live in Housekeeper job, Near Bath.

A wonderful client is looking for a confident, experienced Housekeeper to support them with their semi-formal family home while their current housekeeper is on annual leave. A small Pug dog completes the family of 6. They will have family visiting A daily Nanny is employedand a maternity nurse. The Housekeeper must be child friendly.

Duties to include:

• General cleaning to the highest standard
• Care of delicate items and fine fabrics - to include antiques, crystal, silver, and copper
• Laundry, linen, and ironing to the highest standard (include caring for delicate garments)
• Set up tables as needed
• Prepare teas/coffees
• Greeting and looking after visitors and guests
• Walking the dog around the neighbourhood
• Running errands and provisioning for the household if needed
• Helping with dinner parties and entertaining

The ideal candidate will be well-presented, self-motivated, flexible, discreet, have high standards, and is happy to learn/follow instruction when required. As the family have young children, someone who is cheerful and enjoys being around children is a must.

Property: 8 bedroom Georgian house over 2 floors

Start date: 21st of December to 4th of January 2026

Days and hours: 9am to 6pm for as many day over the holiday period as possible

Accommodation: provided if needed

Salary: £22 - £25 gross per hour depending on experience (Double paid on Christmas day, boxing day and New Years Day)
